The UV-C sensor is used to monitor the relative UV intensity inside Van Remmen UV-C reactors.
It is mounted on the reactor wall and connected to the control unit, where it provides real-time data to evaluate the condition of the UV-C lamp and system.
Rather than measuring the UV dose directly, the sensor detects relative changes in UV-C radiation.
A drop in intensity can indicate aging of the lamp, fouling of the quartz sleeve or sensor lens, or changes in the water’s UV transmittance.
When the measured intensity falls below a set thresholds, the control unit generates an alarm.
These values are adjustable in the system settings, the preset values are:
- Pre-alarm: ≤ 70% intensity
- Main alarm: ≤ 50% intensity
Compatible with, among others:
- Validated series (V090 – V190)
- RUV 130-120
Including O-ring for UV sensor, the UV sensor cable is not included.
